HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Today is Halloween! After working all night long (more to come on my job later) I am exhausted but so wanting to join in on Halloween festivities! Unfortunately, I have to pull another all-nighter for work.
I just love Halloween and Autumn when the temperatures plummet from 105 degrees to a mere 95 degrees! All ya'll in Texas know what I'm talkin' about ;)
Changing my summer decor (seashells, palm trees, etc) over to Autumn (pumpkins and leaves!) is one of my favorite Autumn rites of passage.
Since I have been unemployed for almost a year until recently, I simply cannot afford to feed my kids and dogs all while decorating an apartment. All the decorations you see below where made from materials bought at the dollar tree- just look below, some things will surprise you! Other items were bought at Ross for under $5.

I made this myself for $7!!! I bought 4 strands of leaves, a bare wicker wreath, and floral wire.

Favorite October Vacation Spot- Galveston!

Galveston- my absolute favorite place on earth. It's a fun place to get away and vacation with the family (inlcuding Batman & Rocky!)
I love the atmosphere and going down there reminds me of my childhood as I grew up in Houston and Baytown. For all of you out-of-towners, Houston and Baytown is an hour or less away from Galveston.
We love touring the strand, relaxing on the beach, walking along the seawall, visiting historic mansions, and eating seafood.
